The firing pin for my 1911 project came in today, so I decided to spend a few hours on it. Well... truth be told, I spend a few hours on just the firing pin stop plate. It was over-sized, and I had to file it down to fit. At first it wouldn't fit at all, and I needed to file down the sides, so it would go into the slot. Then it wouldn't go up enough (the back of the firing pin wasn't seating back into the hole in the stop plate, because it wasn't aligned). But it fits now. So, that's the extractor, firing pin, firing pin spring, and firing pin stop plate, all installed.
