It took a while, but I finally completed my gunsmithing course through Penn Foster.
I also got my FFL approved.
So, that means technically I'm open for business. 🙂
My experience consists of fixing and modifying my own personal firearms for a few years.
I am just starting, so I do not have quite all of the tools and equipment. But I will acquire them as the need arises.
I intend to offer general gunsmithing services, like repairs, modifications, and transfers (as well as nickel plating later).
Since the city of Kuna does not permit the sale of merchandise in a home occupation, I cannot sell anything. I'm not even permitted to display any signage or examples of my work. The business plans to move in the future to a more permanent location outside of city limits, allowing it to engage in merchandise sales (like firearms, ammunition, attachments, accessories, and so forth).
My plan is to make this a hobby that makes me a few dollars here and there. Here's hoping! 🙂
